Charla Townsend Atkins

From 1985 until my first daughter, Shelby, was born in 1998, I worked in the dental field. I was computer systems manager, dental assistant, and office manager in three dental practices including Tara Lanier's dad, Dr. T. Wayne Lanier. Since then I have been a stay-at-home mom. Shelby is now 10 years old and going into the 5th grade at East Hills Middle School. I am a PTO officer there, also. Shelby is a cheerleader for the 5th grade blue pittbulls and a tumbling enthusiast. My youngest daughter, Maycee, is in the 2nd grade at Westwood Primary. She is my little tomboy who loves any type of sports.
We have a Shar-pei named Daisy, a guinea pig named JoJo, and 2 goldfish.
Jim, my husband, graduated from Lavaca High School. He and his dad have a civil engineering firm, Atkins' Engineering, in Barling. We have a house out at Jack Nolen Lake on Eagle Drive. We built it in 1999. So that is what I have been up to since 1984, or at least the highlights!

I remember going to all the basketball games and the bus rides to and from them. I'll also never forget Sean Wallace's funny stories in Mrs. Tarver's college prep English class. He was a hoot!! I also enjoyed drawing and writing the names in the senior sidewalk with my pal Debbie Mullen. What a great way to spend a school day!. There are too many other memories to recall or try to list. I am so glad my parents moved us here when I was in 9th grade. Greenwood High School is the best school in the country in my opinion. Thanks to all my friends for making high school such a great part of my life!!
