Dear Planning Committee,

What an awesome time I had at the reunion!  Thank you for the hard work, great food, creative set up of memorabilia and the slide show.

To all of my classmates, you are still so much fun!  I appreciate you making me feel so welcome and including me in the circle of friends.  In my heart, you remain young.  Judging from some of the dance moves we were doing, I'd say we think we are still young and cool...or just crazy.  Loved every minute!

I want everyone to know that Amelia and I had a wonderful time at the reunion. Thanks for the energy and hard work the organizers put into this gathering. It was well planned and came off as first class. The food and band exceeded my expections. 

I really enjoyed my time at Greenwood High. The only disappointment I have is that I have not maintained those friendships/relationships over the college and working years. At our age, the kids are now on their own and we now have time and energy to put back into these relationships thru facebook and travel. The reunion has given me that opportunity to reconnect.

For that I am thankful.

Many thanks to the committee that worked so hard to bring us back together after 40 years.  Everytime I saw a past classmate I was flooded with great memories.  To this day I miss Friday night football (I was in the band through 10th grade) with "Canteen" afterwards.  And during the "off" seasons we all frequented Starnes.  Some of you might remember I was in "The Brotherhood" and later "The Establishment" band and played at Canteen many Friday nights with Mrs. Jay and Mrs. Elliott watching out for all of us.  Those were fun weekends.

You all are still "high energy" and have "fire in the belly".  Not bad after 40 years!  I hope we have another one in 5 or 10 years.  I'll be there if I'm still kicking.

Thanks for all the friendships during our years of growing up together.  Miss you all!

The committee has not been able to get together to plan anything.  The class of 1970 still has not been able to have their 50th reunion.  I had a thought to approach the classes of 1970 and 1972 and see if they would like to have a three-class reunion in 2022.  What are your thoughts on this idea?  I went to a three-class reunion with my husband, Jack a number of years ago.  It was a lot of fun!

Ken and I both are looking forward to our 50th reunion.  We leave early on Friday morning from Northern Virginia and make our way to Greenwood and hope to stop by Howard's Friday night.

Thanks to all that worked on the reunion! What a great job! I know that was hard work and on behalf of the Class of 71, I think I can say that was a job well done.

There were so many people that I did not have the opportunity to visit and talk - some that I may not have recognized nor they recognized me :-), many that I had not seen in almost fifty years. That is my only regret, because there were some dear friends present and I did not utilize my time very well while connecting. I hope I have the opportunity to connect at another time. God has blessed me with some wonderful friends in my life (you know who you are), and I thank each of you for sharing a part of your life with me. Great memories!

Anyway, a big THANK YOU to the committee, and wishing all my dear classmates all the best in the years to come.

I was so sad to hear the news about Med. Prayers for peace and comfort to the family. What a great guy and he will be missed. We have lost way too many. May God bless each of you!
