Jennifer Dolosa Barrera, age 49, of Pensacola, Florida, unexpectedly passed away while visiting her hometown of Virginia Beach. The Lord welcomed her into his arms on March 11, 2022.

A Navy brat born in Portsmouth, VA with subsequent stops in San Diego, GTMO Cuba, then back to VA in 1987 where the Barrera family settled in Virginia Beach. A 1990 graduate of Kempsville High School and 1995 graduate of The College of William and Mary she made her way into a career in IT. Marriage eventually brought her to make a home in Pensacola, FL. While in Florida, she received a master's degree in Health Care Administration. After multiple years as an administrator for several health care facilities, she eventually settled back into a career in IT. For the last 9 years, she was a senior consultant and business process analyst for the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) as a government contractor.

Easily approachable, outgoing, generous and a master of the gab we will sorely miss Jennifer's radiance, humor, and friendship.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, LCDR Isidro Barrera, USN Retired, and Ofelia Barrera, sister Annalee Barrera Labrador, brother in law Edwin Labrador, nephew Dylan, niece Keira, and the many aunties, uncles and friends of the extended Filipino family of Hampton Roads, and the countless caring friends in Pensacola.
