Barry Knapp

G. Barry Knapp, 74, of St. Simons Island, departed this life Saturday, July 30, 2016 at SGHS Glynn.
Born July 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late George W. and Virginia M. Knapp, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and received a BFA from Purdue University. Mr. Knapp retired from the U.S. Department of Defense and was the owner of The Whole Gamut Studio on St. Simons Island. Mr. Knapp had been a resident of St. Simons for 25 years and enjoyed creating unique works of art, gardening, and caring for a menagerie animals. 
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Cary Knapp of St. Simons, three daughters, Georgia Elizabeth Knapp of St. Simons, Jennifer Kelly (Greg) of Easton, PA, Mary Kresna Yasa (Wayan) of Bali, Indonesia, his canine companion, Puck, four siblings, Joan Enyeart (DeWayne) of Olympia, WA, Keith Knapp of Escondido, CA, Cheryl Knapp (Sue) of Escondido, CA, and Gayle Knapp (Patrick), several nieces and nephews.
