David R. Davis

Chesapeake - David R. Davis, 63, died Friday, March 17, 2017, in Norfolk. David was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital to Ella G. Davis and David Davis (deceased) on November 21, 1953. Since 2007, he lived in Chesapeake with his sister, Deborah. 

Left to remember him are his son Andrew R. Davis, Andrew's mother, Linda Steele, his mother, Ella Davis, his sister, Deborah Davis, and his nephews, Owen Davis, and Kevin Davis. His brother, Mark Davis, predeceased him in 2013. 

As a Navy dependent, David lived in Virginia, Mississippi, Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines, Georgia, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He graduated from Norview High School in 1972, and worked in drywall and construction. He enjoyed scuba diving, woodworking, and playing with the family pets. 

David was generous to a fault, and never met a stranger. He loved his son, his family, his dog Haun from the '80s, and his sister's dog Watson.
