Allen Landgren

Al, (known to friends), was born to Garrett and Frances Landgren on December 24, 1935 in Duluth, MN, and passed away unexpectedly and instantly on April 3, 2014 on Green Island, off Cairns, Australia on the very last day of a 12-day tour in that country. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Emi, son Ken in Kansas, and sister Kathleen Skarbakka in Arkansas. Al taught art and other subjects for Dept. of Defense Dependent Schools (DODDS) overseas for 32 years, in Japan, the Philippines, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and worked for Horizon Airlines in Seattle, WA for ten years. He was talented with many skilled hobbies, adventurous, fun-loving with dry sense of humor, and caring & loving. He so enjoyed making pottery, carving wood, raising fresh water fish, gardening, and entertaining friends at home.
