Friday, March 20, 2020, Stephanie Stewart Johnson entered the Kingdom of God. She was the first child of Charles Russell (Lou) and Marilynn Gillispie Stewart born March 5, 1946 in Houston, Texas. Growing up as part of a Navy family, she lived in many places, including in order Kingsville, Texas, Pensacola, Florida, San Diego, California, Territory of Hawaii, Jacksonville, Florida, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, (where she held some of her fondest memories of her horse Blaze), Kingsville, Texas again, and then finally settling in Corpus Christi, Texas. It was in Corpus she graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1964. During this time she met the love of her life, Philip J. Johnson. They were married on August 6, 1966 and lived in Corpus Christi. Together they had two children, Jason Stewart Johnson and Jodie Lynn (Johnson) Sittre. Throughout her life she worked for the Corpus Christi National Bank, and HEB payroll department. In 1984, they moved to San Antonio, where she worked at the National Gun Club, Sears Call Center, National Underwriting Service, and retired from the UT Health Science Center. She enjoyed family and was proud of the fact that in 42 years she never missed a Weller or Johnson Family Reunion. She enjoyed reading and helped form the Braun Station Book Club. Stephanie and Phil, along with many close friends enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles traveling across the country on many trips as part of the “Mild Bunch”. In her early twenties, she belonged to the Beta Sigma Phi women’s social sorority. She had multiple, deep, life-long friendships with high school friends and neighbors. Her greatest pride was her three granddaughters. Kristen Nicole Johnson and Lauren Rae Sittre were born only a month apart in January and February of 2000. Her third granddaughter, Kelsey Lynn Sittre was born in 2002. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Philip J. Johnson, their son Jason Stewart Johnson and his wife, Jessica Johnson, their daughter Jodie Lynn (Johnson) Sittre and her husband, Karl Sittre. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kristen Nicole Johnson, daughter of Jason and Jessica, Lauren Rae Sittre and Kelsey Lynn Sittre, daughters of Jodie and Karl. She is also survived by her siblings, Paige (Stewart) Reeves, her husband Joe Reeves, niece Jaime Felice Reeves, great nephew Mason Tyler Reeves, her brother Clay Richard Stewart and his two daughters, Holly Ann Stewart and Kelly Alicia Stewart
