I regret to inform you that our classmate David Ewart died on December 22, apparently of cancer. His Tampa Bay Times obituary is reproduced below:
David S. Ewart of Clearwater, passed away December 22, 2017. A prominent photographer for over 30 years in Pinellas County, David will be missed by his many friends from all around the United States. Before retiring, he belonged to several organizations such as Professional Photographers of America, Florida Professional Photographers and Suncoast Professional Photographers. David also was a prominent wedding photographer. He was a member of the Tampa Bay Bridal Association and the Wedding and Event Professionals of Tampa Bay. David was a veteran and retired from the Navy. "You will be missed David." What w wonderful gifted career in photogrphy! His life was a celebration all the time of events in people's lives! How nice that such a good , kind person shared those things with others! Sorry to hear about David. He was a great photographer and did one hell of a job on our 50th reunion at Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg. I met with David several times at my condo when we developed the Original Website and later on follow up of the Reunion photos. He liked to meet at Ernestine’son Gulf to Bay in Clearwater, his favorite coffee house. He was always very humble and willing to help out in any way. RIP David Ewart my friend.

David and I had several things in common. We were always in the same Home Room with our last names beginning with "E"; My Dad, like David, was a professional photographer. And David was truly talented.. He will be missed.
