John Hershell Thomas, 62, of Horton, Alabama passed away Monday September 4, 2023 at his residence. He loved The University of Alabama football and basketball. He also loved to play golf.

He is survived by his two brothers, Randy Thomas (Phyllis); Michael Cooley; three sisters, Jackie Walker (Neal), Deborah O’Donnell and Susan M. Thomas and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rueben “Hut” and Wand York Thomas.
