Andrea and I have been married 25 years and have 3 children: Russell, Heath and Kristen. Andrea works for Target as a cash office specialist, making sure all the funds end up in the right place. Andrea left the nursing sector when we moved to NH, to stay home with the kids. Now that they are all in college, she is back at work outside the house.
Russell is a busy guy. He coaches high school varsity football, and girls varsity basketball, and is a tour boat captain in the summer.
Heath is studying photography and journalism at Fitchburg State College. In high school Heath was a two time All State football player and also a two time All State wrestler. Heath also has his commercial boating license.
Kristen is studying finance and accounting at Fitchburg State College, and is playing varsity basketball. The FSC women finished 2nd in New England this past season. Kristen was also an All State volleyball player in high school.
I work for Vibracoustic, the worlds largest noise and vibration company. I head the design engineering group that make components for cars, trucks, trains, industrial items, off-road vehicles that eliminate noise and vibration. I have designed products for nearly every car company in the world. My team and I have done the ride tuning for 10 of the last 13 Motortrend Car of the Year award winners. I have been a consultant to NASCAR teams for 20 years now, working with Winston/Nextel Cup champions for Joe Gibbs, Hendrick, Roush, Robert Yates, Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, Chip Ganassi Indy Cars, Renault Formula 1, Trans-AM. I also was a crew chief for 5 years in the NASCAR Busch North series.
We have formed a non-profit kids charity called KidsFirstUSA. We took all our race cars and equipment and made them Kid friendly. We now take our Racing road show to schools and present a Math, Science and Technology program to grade and middle school kids with a goal of exciting them about technical things and staying in school. We use the race car and its components to highlight math concepts, simple machines, time management, healthy decisions, and personal accountability. I have to admit, I get as much satisfaction in seeing these kids excited about school, as I did when we were racing.
The thing Andrea and I are most proud of is our kids. In a time when raising kids gets more and more difficult, God has blessed us with good kids that are showing their character and Christian values to those around them.
