Hey! I thought this site would help us all stay in touch??
Here's a serious question: Who has the Isgros' sauce recipe?

I am really disappointed that the chosen date for our 45th reunion is Thanksgiving weekend. We have been waiting to plan our summer vacation around the reunion.
We are unwilling to bring our RV to Ohio in Nov. So sorry we will not be there to see so many of you after 45 years.
Have fun....maybe we will make the 50th.
Mary

Hey  y'all, John Trent here.  Thought I would pass it along that our fellow classmate Dick Towles has passed away.    Sorry I didn't make the Frisch's gala, had to help babysit grandkids. I will attend the reunion.Talk to you later.

P.S.  To Linda Carberry about Isgro's sauce! Gina Isgro has it and serves it up at Gina's on Eaton Ave.(The location of the old WOLPERT's Tavern by the RRtracks.

I was a bit confused by Rick Turpin's post, so I double checked.  It was Barbara and Nancy's father, Harry T. Wilks, who passed away earlier this year.  Barbara and Nancy are still living.

I am sorry I won't be there, just coming home from a different trip just then.  If the 50th can be in summer or early fall, I would love to come then.  Winter holidays are tough times to travel far.  Have a wonderful time everyone!

The reunion planners understand the situation for many of you concerning winter travel.
Truth be told, preference for a summer reunion is the #1 feedback item.

We welcome our classmate's input to help us make the next and all future reunions successful.  As time marches on, many if not most will be retired from the work force allowing us more time flexibility.  I am hoping that we can schedule additional functions during the week leading to our 50th anniversary celebration.

Thank you to each of you who have kept in touch.  I look forward to seeing you on the 29th at Ryan's and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

I've been working with the reunion committee since last Spring.  Unfortunately, by the time things got going, it was too late to get the reunion together for the Summer.  As Dan stated, the biggest feedback issue for this reunion is that reunion should be in the Summer.  I think the committee has done a great job in pulling this together, and I applaud their efforts.  With that said, I do have this one observation:  For those who are not aware, there is a gathering every month at Ryan's for all graduates of all high schools in the Hamilton/Fairfield area from any year.  Most of the committee attend these gatherings.  For them, they see a great many of the "locals" every month, so the reunion may not seem to be so "special".  However, a lot of our classmates are no longer "locals".  Many live a long distance from Hamilton, and have families and commitments of their own.  While it's no big deal for a local to come to a gathering just about any time of year, for those who live further away it can be a challenge.  And let's face it, Hamilton doesn't have the greatest weather in the late Fall and Winter.  To me, the reunion is primarily a chance to see, speak with, and catch up with those classmates that I haven't seen in several years, not just another gathering with those I see on a regular basis.  To that end, I believe it is important to do everything we can to make the reunion as convenient as possible for the "non-locals", so we can get as much of the remaining class together as possible.

For those of us who live out of state, it's hard to come back for a reunion during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays.  I really wanted to attend but it won't happen this year.  Thanks to the committee for all your hard work.       Maybe life will be easier in 5 yrs!  Stay warm back there!

Sorry I will not be at the reunion for the first time....  Thanksgiving is tough because we have cooked for our NJ/PA family for over 25 years now. Hope the next one is in the summer.

i have heard about the monthly gatherings at Ryan's.  When exactly do they happen?  I would try to plan a trip to Hamilton to coincide with the alumni gathering if I could.

Cheryl: The gatherings at Ryan's are the first Tuesday of each month. The details are at the top of the Home page of this site.

Sorry, but I won't be able to attend the reunion this year.  I really didn't get much encouragement, so I'm going to drop out of the forums.  Maybe in the next life....

If anybody would like to part with theirs, I'm looking to buy a Hamilton-Taft 1969 mens class ring.  Also looking for Wilson Jr High Yearbooks 1964, 65 and 66.  Lost mine along life's highway.

Good day, well I have re-invented myself and I am selling Electronic Surveillance equipment, for both home and business. I will be offering a discount to any of my class members and their families.

In spite of record heat waves in some parts of the country I hope that all of you are enjoying the summer weather here at home or away.
We've all seen 49 summers come and go since we graduated together and headed our separate ways to conquer the world.

We are rapidly approaching our golden anniversary year and are just four seasons away from celebrating our

50th anniversary and reunion of the Hamilton Taft Sr. High School Class of 1969

I am casting the net seeking reunion planning volunteers.  Some of you have previously expressed interest in being part of the reunion committee and I/we look forward to meeting any and all who would like to share ideas to make this, our 50th, a reunion that should not be missed.

We have just under a year to meet our original reunion date of late June 2019.  It is time to start setting amd communicating some of our agenda for the sake of those who need advance notice.

Dan,  I have an Italian-Greek cruise planned for the first part of June 2019. Will the date of the reunion still be the last weekend June 28-30? If it is, I’ll be there! I live in Phoenix now so I can’t help with planning but do appreciate all who help! Thanks, Kathy Ranck Graf

Kathy, enjoy your visit to the Mediterranean.  Make sure you take lots of photos.

Always glad to have you on the reunion committee, Cheryl.
