Fritz Schmitt

I go almost exclusively by "FRITZ" and have for most of the last 50 years.
Moved from Iowa to the Detroit area by an act of Congress, moving my Army job to the Detroit Arsenal from the Rock Island Arsenal.
Lived in Davenport 2002 to 2010. Prior to that St. Louis, from 1995-2002, Georgetown, Ontario, from 1986-1995, Kingsville, Ontario from 1982-1985. Pastor of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod since 1982. Married Helena in 1991; met her through a sermon a mutual friend preached.

Served 2 years in Navy; did graduate studies in Physics at University of Toledo. Studied theology at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, and in Germany. Ordained in the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod, serving congregations in Ontario, Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. Began working for the federal government in 2004, moving to Warren, MI, in 2010.
