Richard Kovach Obituary

RICHARD J. KOVACH HAMMOND/WHITING, IN Richard J. Kovach, 58 of Hammond, formerly of Whiting, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at his residence. He was the beloved son of Anne M. (Petrus) Kovach and the late Charles R. Kovach; dearest brother of Robert Kovach and Diane (Joseph) Perhach; dear uncle of Aime Perhach. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting with the Rev. Kevin M. Scalf, C.PP.S., officiating; interment of cremains, St. John Cemetery, Hammond. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting. Dick Kovach was born on September 20, 1956. He was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region and a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1974.
