RAYMOND PAPACH WILMINGTON, N.C. FORMERLY OF WHITING Raymond Papach, 56, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Whiting, passed away July 5, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sue (Barnes) Papach; daughters: Katie, Becca and Angie; sons: Matt and Mike; parents-in-law: Raymond and Dolores Jean Barnes; and his "Band of Brothers": Tom Adam, Rich Bobby, and Mark Markovich. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Simone (Krilich) Papach. Ray was a terrific athlete, competitor, trainer and coach. After a standout career at George Rogers Clark High School, he became a three-sport athlete at Hillsdale College, where he was recognized nationally for his achievements in basketball. He later was inducted into the Hammond Sports Hall of Fame. Ray was an accomplished custom woodworker and designer. He loved our country and believed in true patriotism. Above all else, Ray loved his family and God. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN.
