Oh, Bobbi, I'm working on something - do we have an "official" list of who was at the reunion?

08/04/09 08:51 AM #219

Bobbi Blackburn (DeArdo)

Joyce went thru the yearbook and counted that over the course of our 3 day party I mean reunion there were 45 or 46 of us. Wrap up meeting next wednesday? can't this week, busy landscaping while kids are out of town

It might be my crazy way of thinking, but if a college football team gets 2 chances in a 3 year span to win a national championship and that team gets their asses whipped in both of those chances, it's time to let another team have a try. O-H-F-U.

08/04/09 01:45 PM #221

Melanie Kidwell (VanNuys)

Scooter - like who? Pitt? (cough)

08/04/09 05:27 PM #222

Oh and "Scerbie", thanks for telling me I am older than you. I'll have you know I only celebrate anniversaries of my 21rst from now on. So I'm 17!!!!!

08/07/09 05:27 PM #224

Chad Olesky

Thats right O-H-I-O.. And Scooter, if i remember correctly you were born in Ohio? Dont tell me your still ruiting for the Pitt Panthers? LOL.. If your born and raised in Ohio, its mandatory that you ruit for the Buckeyes... I saw this morning the pre-season top 25 just came out, and the Buckeyes were number 6. I didnt see Pitt anywhere... Is anyone going to the OSU-USC game?

08/08/09 02:23 PM #225

Scooter Hayes

I've missed one Pitt home game since 2001, been to 5 away games and a bowl game. I don't want to hear about who I have to root for just because of where I was born. My kids were born in WV but there's not a chance in hell they're going to follow the Mountaineers. I have enough problems defending myself from Russ and Shell. I don't need your shit too! lol. HAIL TO PITT!!!!!!

Hey everyone! It's the most wonderful time of year! Back to school for the kids! Yeah!!

Monies made from the 50/50 and reverse raffle were $113 and $93. Best time for the tree to be planted is late september/early october. Will need to verify with principal one last time for the site, since it is a different person than we firsr spoke to. Keep everyone updated!

Just a little weather warning for tonight--We may have high winds from the west. All of the Buckeye fans reportedly exhaled about 4 o'clock today after the nailbiter they were in with the Midshipmen of Navy. Go to the lowest part of your house and cover your head and face. If you're a Buckeye fan, stay in that position until next Sunday because Saturday is going to be really, really ugly and you might not want to witness it.

09/13/09 09:50 AM #229

Bobbi Blackburn (DeArdo)

Flood warning!! All us Buckeye Fans are crying now!

09/18/09 01:53 PM #230

Bobbi Blackburn (DeArdo)

Ok everyone. The tree is planted or rather will be planted at the school. Location is along the sidewalk leading to the front entrance. The location by the bell was not going to work for this type of tree. With the front entrance being redone, it is more inviting now. It will be on the left leading into the front entrance. The plaque is on order and as soon as it is in my hands, an email or text will be sent to all the local yocals for a dedication date. We can meet at the school and then maybe Aaron can host us for a cookout. LOL. Guess I better give Aaron a heads up on that one. Maybe we can shoot for the Edison - Creek game October 30th. Pre game of course.

Cost of the tree $165. Memorial marker $63. These costs include delivery of tree and shipping of the marker.

Now that all of the bills are paid from the reunion, we have an official balance of zero. Thank you to all that donated Door prizes and Chinese raffle gifts. I know this was taken out of your own pockets and we certainly appreciate it. Hats off to the initiators of the reunion, Scooter and Mel. You definately got the ball rolling for us. Joyce and I just fell in with the momemtum of the occassion.

Now lets all keep in touch. We have the website fora few more years. Keep checking back and posting. Let us know your still out there.

Any one remember our class motto?

Bobbi---the old picture of the track taken from the woods
is awesome. I didn't even know we had a motto for
Edison North, but I can sing you Stanton's Alma
Mater backwards. LOL. Let me know when you get a
date and time for the dedication. Aaron and Mel
are coming Sunday. Cornhole starts at 2. Be
there.

Aaron Carpenter

Just wanted to let those of you who went to Irondale in grade school know that I ran into June Clark's daughter in Wellsville the other day. For those of you who don't know Mrs. Clark was our teachers aid from third through sixth grade and by the time we moved on to junior high most of us were really close to her. Anyway she was telling me that Mrs. Clark had heard we were going to have a class reunion and she was really hoping that she was invited so she could see us all again. Her daughter tried to get her to contact one of us to find out when it was, but she did not feel right doing so. I wish she had! Just thought some of you would like to know that Mrs. Clark is still thinking about us after all theses years.I told her daughter that if we do it again in 5 years we would be sure to remember her! Also told her about the web-site thought she could get on and look at the pics, but she doesnt have internet! Hope you all are doing well!!!!!!!!!!!Aaron
