I would like to add that in the event we have money left over we can put that money into a savings account and should we want to have something in 2014 for our 25th that money will be put towards that reunion. Keep in mind, this all started because of a lack of response. As a matter of fact, we are still struggling with a lack of response.

Another thing I forgot to mention - the money that is collected is not just for the reunion - it is also being used for the tree and plaque we are going to put at the school in Rob and Bob's memory.

Friday is good with me. That will probably be better anyways since Aaron is having something at his house on Thursday. My driver is a TaylorMade but I haven't figured out how it works yet. I've been golfing since I was 16 and I've gotten alittle worse each year. Anyone else want to golf on Friday July 24th? This doesn't have to be just guys. Bobbi, get your clubs out and get a team. Lol.

Melanie Kidwell (VanNuys)

Since the guys are meeting to play golf on the 24th - if any of the girls want to meet at my house again for a little pre-party party - let me know!

Anyone creative or crafty for possible door prizes at the picnic? Doe anyone oppose that idea of door prizes?

07/01/09 04:31 PM #146

Scooter Hayes

Door prizes and 50/50 are both excellent ideas. I can donate cornhole boards and bags. I just have to make them.
As far as golfing goes on Friday the 24th, we have a foresome so far. Anyone else interested let me know.

Hey everyone!! 2 weeks to go till reunion kickoff!!! Any one out there making anything for Door Prizes. I have one item and so does Scooter.

Keep sending your money OK. Just adults pay $20. Remember you do not have to bring anything for the picnic Saturday. All is taken care of. I have a call out to the caterer to confirm menu. Will post when I find out. We have $780. I have a quote of $72 for a red maple that is 7-8ft tall. Since no one has called or posted any other suggested tree that it what I quoted. I believe there is little to no maintenance of this type of tree which is what the school suggested also.

07/13/09 08:41 PM #151

Melanie Kidwell (VanNuys)

Hey Everyone!

It's almost that time - just a little over a week to go now. Here is the official rundown of events for next weekend:

Thursday night - Aaron is having a pre-party at his house across from Stanton starting at 6:00 pm. All are invited - bring the swimsuits. Party is BYOB.

Friday night - original catered dinner is CANCELED. For those who can make it, Bobbi has reserved an area at Zalenski's in Wintersville for drinks and finger foods. Friday night is NOT being paid for by the reunion committee. Travis Wallace will also be our own "in-house" DJ while we're at Zalenski's. Drinks start at 7:00 until we leave. Scooter has posted directions to Zalenski's on the Message Forum page - if you need further help, let one of us know and we'll get you there!

Saturday - still the picnic as originally planned. Picnic will begin at noon at Shelter #2 at Stratton Park. The pool will be available, so again, bring the swimsuits. You will need to bring nothing with you as far as food and drinks to the picnic - the entire event is being paid for by the reunion committee funds. However, if you have any outdoor games you want to bring - feel free - the more the better!

If you have any questions, please email one of us. If you still haven't RSVP'd but are still planning on coming - please let us know. Even if you aren't paying until the day of - it's important to have an accurate headcount. Remember, the cost is only $20 per adult - kids are included in that price. The menu hasn't been confirmed just yet, but as soon as it is, we'll pass it on.

Safe travels to everyone coming from out of town!!

I can't wait for the reunion. My liver can't take any more meetings. Joyce, watch your step. Bobbi, extend that step. Mel, gonna be a long weekend next week. Thursday through Saturday. Thank God for cart drivers.

Rodger--peeked on the wife's Facebook account. I think you told a lie. You don't need the match. You'd be fine with the 30 pack and still have a camp. See you next Friday at Red Oaks.

I haven't laughed as hard as I did last night in a LONG time - thanks Scooter, Bobbi and Joyce!

Bobbi Blackburn (DeArdo)

I can't believe that it was that late. Maybe I will put down reflective tape on that step so you can see it next time. Scooter how is your ankle? My dog got a liitle ill last nite. Ha Ha!!

07/16/09 09:29 AM #158

Melanie Kidwell (VanNuys)

By the way - "Scerby", Bobbi and Joyce - I want to thank you for keeping me up WAY past my bed time...2 hours of sleep and a morning long meeting is NOT a good combination! Bobbi, did you take your dog to the vet? Remember, we determined your dog had the shots...not so sure about Scooter... :)

07/16/09 10:10 AM #159

Scooter Hayes

Bobbi--keep an eye on your dogs stool. There should be a 3 inch piece of my Achilles tendon making an appearance sometime today.

Did Joyce do any acrobatics off the step from hell after I left?
