James,
This site only took me about twenty minutes to initially set up, which considering I've never ever done anything remotely like this before was pretty good for me. I had done some internet searching on reunion planning and a lot of people kept saying how much a web site helped and class creator kept coming up as one of the best ones for helping you get started. The year book pictures took me quite awhile. I'm not done with them yet. Some people were not in the senior yearbook and I've missplaced my junior one. Chris King is looking for his and if he finds it he said he'd scan and email some pictures to me. The big thing is to let as many people know as possible. I think we have close to 15 people registered now which is more than 10% of us. That's really good for a site that's just over a week old.

Since this forum has been up and talking about a 25 year reunion has really brought up some memories especially seeing my daughter has graduated high school and is now in her freshman year and my son is a senior in high school it makes you think back to the days you were in high school and most of the time we had not a worry you go to school play sports, band etc. Now I look back and you realize it was good times.

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We are almost at 25 registered classmates now which is really good for a class of our size. Please keep spreading the word. Also if you have not done so yet please fill out the class reunion survey. Thanks.

Hey Allen,
This is awesome !
We can keep in touch by the website and communicate for the reunion(s). This is SOOO much better than snail mail invitations and RSVP letters. See you soon. Thanks, Joe.

I think July 4th weekend is not the best weekend to have a reunion. With people coming from out of town not much of a selection of hotels and the crowds will be huge. I think it would be better at different time. We have many coming from out of town and that is a tough time for some to travel. Hope everyone is doing well and look forward seeing everyone. If July 4th is selected I still will attend.

It's great to see all the ones that have signed up so far. I have been working on some of the others when I see them. Hopefully we'll get more all the time. I would like to see anyone we were friends with sign up as guest members. That way we can also catch up with them.

For those of you that don't know James Clair's father passed away this week. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sarena Keach passed away very suddenly just a few weeks ago. For those of you that don't know Mrs. Morrill also died several years ago as did Mr. King. They have been a big loss to Hanover.

If anyone has any questions about Hanover feel free to post them. I will try to get you the answer.

We made national news a couple weeks ago. The gym roof blew off in a wind storm. It was quite a mess. They have it fixed. Last night was the last boys b-ball game and senior night. It was played in the gym.

I'm going to try to keep up with some postings. Let me know your comments.

Have a great day.
Todd

I get to see Patty Adams-Frazier pretty often. One of my daughters has her now. One already had her. Many of the teachers are still there. Marsha Newby-Daugherty, Don White, Mr. King P.E.,Ms Seikman, Mrs. Firth. Many of the new teachers are people we went to school with. Mrs. Callis-Ross still doesn't give A's. Students still don't like it. Some things never change. It's kind of bad to have to list teachers maiden names.

Can't wait to see everyone again, this will be my first reunion, I have so many good and funny memory's from school. Did anyone know that Mr. Finnegan died to? I seen Ms. Cloyd at my sister's baby shower, She still looks the same. it would also be nice if we can get the ones that dropped out too, they were in our class for awhile, and a part of our class history. In fact one of them is Pastor Jimmy Cox, Cool huh? I sometimes go to his church and can let him know if that's ok with everyone? Let me know. Good work Allen this is a nice thing to do.

I think having some of the guys like Jimmy would be great. I don't have a problem with that. I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

I went ahead and stuck Jimmy's name on the list so he can go ahead and join. If anyone knows of anyone else who should be added on the list please let me know. We have over 60 people registered now.

Allen,

You're the man! I had a message on my facebook account that I started a couple of years ago but never used. When I went there two days ago I found your message, which means you must have left a similar message for every Jeff Riley on facebook. Thanks for taking the time to pull everyone back together.

J

PS. I updated facebook too, thanks to you.

In response to James Clair post...I think that would be great if we meet for dinner and drinks on Friday! I just saw on my facebook where some of the lower classmen are meeting at Maverick's restaurant on Friday for dinner and drinks that night. Would anyone be interested in doing that? That will also give us a chance to see some of our lower classmates too. What do you think???

06/02/09 05:41 PM #27

James Clair

That works it would be nice to see some of the lower classmates.
