Mr. King

I thought I'd bring up Mr. King.  He was such an important part of Southwestern from the beginning.  It's hard to imagine him being gone now.  I wish my step-kids could have had someone like him as a principal when they were in high school.  He always seemed to handle things so well.  I'm glad they've named the gymn after him.

I can remember Mr. King at every sporting event that I ever attended...no matter where it was.  He was the original "Rebel."

He cooked the best corn on the cob every night at every county fair that we had.  All for the Lions Club.  He had some amazing volunteer hours.

No doubt he ran the school like a well oiled machine.  He set the standard for all the school employees and board members.  No doubt he is missed.  They don't makem like that anymore.
