Not yet Brad, but I'm seriously thinking of doing it.  My youngest son would LOVE it.  I read the web-site and it really sounds like a mess of fun.

Just saying hi to everyone (Hi Sharie).  Hey - I'm going to be in Erie June and possibly July - anyone up for me trying to get an informal get together one night?  Just a quick invite to people and what happens happens?  No big to do - just pick a place and who wants to show shows?

I'm shooting for mid-July to make it to Erie, but it will all depend on the airlines and their once again ridiculous fares.  I may not know till the last second whether I can even come or not but I'm hoping to, and if I can come, it will be sometime in July.

Great, hope to see both of you this July. Can you believe it's almost a year already that we had our reunion. I just don't understand how time seems to move so fast but we don't. Anyhoo, looking forward to a great summer. Is it ever going to get warm?

Sharie - let me know when you know - ok - and we'll get something planned.  Sound ok?

Denise, I'll start checking it out today.  I'm really hoping to make it, but I'm really uncertain.

I just spent a very busy weekend in Erie attending my niece's wedding.  We arrived Thursday evening in time for the rehearsal and dinner.  My daughter and son were in the wedding party and my brother in law and I gave away the bride, and my wife was the guest book attendant as well as food and beverage provider for the wedding party all day Friday at the church.  The wedding was Friday evening.  My son and I spent the day Friday baby sitting for the children of another niece.  Four boys, 10, 7, 4, and 2.  I had diaper duty and bathtime duty for the first time in a long time.  My daughter and the other bridesmaids had hair and makeup appointments and then hung out at the church getting ready.  The wedding went off without a hitch and the reception was lots of fun.  I will post some photos once we download them off the camera.

We spent Saturday afternoon with family at the Erie Zoo, always worthwhile.  I got to go to the Plymouth for lunch and we went to some new restaurant at the dock where the Buoy used to be for dinner.  We stocked up on candy at Pulakos.  We also got in meals from Barbatos and Ricardos.  Still good.

This was my first vist to Erie since 2004.  My old house is for sale, as well as the Van Dykes old house.  Some changes in South Shore Village.  Trees are bigger.  The concrete streets have been paved over with macadam and the curbs have been removed.  Mailboxes are at the curb instead of on the house, except on Harbor and Aaron Road.  Progress?

We saw the Niagara.  We didn't get to the beach.  We went to church Sunday, saw Sue Garfields parents but not Mark Dalglish's.

My mom, brother Jim and his wife, sister Sue and her husband, three nieces and a nephew, and four great nephews were all in town so we didn't have much time for anything but family stuff.  I will try to get back to Erie before six more years elapse.

Sounds like an eventful weekend!

Yes, you do need to get to the ole creek more often.  We haven't gotten word out yet but we're planning an informal, free, fun get together at Sideline's (the old Skate Lodge) on the 17th of July at 6:00 p.m.  Deja vu (sp?) Formal announcement coming soon, well not really formal at all, but we plan to get the word out, so everyone help us out.  Just a get together of whoever is available and whoever wants to come.  And it's a come as you are thing.  Just meet up and have fun.

So, having said that Jeff, hope to see you soon.  You too Jeff Hart and everyone else.

Fun news, I had dinner with Dalglish a few weeks ago.  It was the first time we've seen each other in Texas, even with all the years we've both lived here.  We've only seen each other in Pa.  Also, Dave Welch will be in town on business on Wednesday and I get to have dinner with him too.  And of course I got to see Mike Lempicki as well a few months ago.  It's fun, I don't get too many visitors besides family waaay down here in H-town.

Nice that you saw Mark Sharie. I'm in for the 17th.  I'll start getting the word out too.  Looking forward to it.

Jeff Hart - some of us are going to Calamari's this Friday (11th) and planning on meeting up there at 7:00.  Gotta go to Erie for Otter's thing and thought I'd get a few of us together if you can meet out.   We'll probably hang out for a couple of hours there.  Join us if you can

Geez Paul, I got scared when I pulled up the forum and there was my 17 year old mug sporting that lovely Dorothy Hamil haircut.  It made me notice that I talk too much on this thing too.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, both public and private.  It was a great day, work, work late, don't complete the work and take it home, miss the first four innings of my son's baseball game due to work, dinner at 9:00, awesome birthday cake prepared by my daughter, gifts, and a happy ending.

All work and no play makes Jeff a cranky boy, especially on his birthday.

"Happy birthday!"

 Hello all,

I saw there is a get-together at Sidelines on Saturday July 17th.  I won't be in town until July 20 (thru July 26) to visit my mom.  If there is any get together that next week....let me know :-)

We'll drum something up Jane.  See Hansen, this gives you 2 chances to make it to the Creek now. :)

Just found out that Steve Finke's brother, Mike passed away suddenly at his home in CT.  Please remember Steve and his family during this difficult time.  Mike was only 50 and leaves behind his wife and two children ages 17 and 15.  Obituary can be viewed at www.goerie.com

Is anyone out there doing the half marathon at Presque Isle on the 18th of July?  I'm goin' for it.  If anyone is interested, the info is on the Erie Runners Club web-site.  I still haven't figured out how to put a link on this forum.

Here's the link to the info about the half marathon,

You are in some really deep shnit Steve.  Are you implying that I am not capable of finishing the race?  Are we taking bets here?  Granted, I may finish last and throw up on someone's shoes, but I WILL finish.  You are in so much trouble...

Oh, and there will be no cameras Mr. Salow.  I can only imagine what I'll look like when it's all over.

And Sharon is running too.  She promised to pull me over the finish line if she has to.

I enjoyed the video Steve.

How's this one.  Can't get enough of that late 70's early 80's music.  I still love Steely Dan.  They still sound great even decades later.
