Hope you have a nice time in Harborcreek Adrianne!

And Jeff, he probably likes your spotty white a$%, that or he needs a new car or his kids need braces or college tuition or something along those lines.

Nice to hear from you Kevin!!

New Years resolutions anyone?

I just finished talking with my friend in Minneapolis.  She said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.  Her husband has done nothing but look through the kitchen window.  She says that if it gets much worse, she may have to let him in. . . . .

Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports:

All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on or in your body.  The explosion will be contained within the sealed booth.

This would be a win-win for everyone.  There would be none of this crap about racial profiling and the device would eliminate long and expensive trials.

This is so simple that it's brilliant. I can see it now:  you're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion.  Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, "Attention, standby passengers! We now have a seat available on flight number..."

I thumbs up the idea. It makes perfect sense, but unfortunately things that make perfect sense never happen. On the flip side, the whole mess has put a new spin on my post holiday fitness regimen and I'll take whatever motivation I can get. At the age of 49, and being the mother of five children, the probability of my looking a little better in clothes than without is relatively high, thus I'm adding a few laps to my jogging schedule. I usually fly in July, leaving me just a few months before being exposed to Lord knows who in the scanning booth. If I'm going to be publicly humiliated, at least I can try to look decent while doing so, either that or I'm driving this summer. Can't decide.

Hey, has your friend let her husband in yet? LOL

This a beautiful way to say "Happy New Year" to everyone everywhere!  Please enjoy it and may 2011 be your best year yet!

Sharie - As for my friend, I do believe her husband is still outside!!

Handsome pic Steve! I saw on your profile about the Rush CD. I remember going to see Heart, Rush, and the Doobie Bros all in one concert at the big stadium in Erie (Academy). I think I was like 14 or something. It was a really good concert. Heart and Rush hadn't yet made it big at the time.

Paul, congrats on your celebrity status in Cleveland! (Renee's too) I read the tweet and tried to put a link in here but couldn't figure out how to do it. Salow has attempted to instruct me a few times, but I appear to be hopeless. I've always thought you were an interesting guy and it looks like Cleveland agrees.

I just HAD to post this. I heard it in the grocery store today and almost broke out in a dance. Scary, I know, but I didn't because I figured someone would call security, but anyway. This has GOT to be one of the Worlds Best Dance Songs. 1976 I think and I couldn't remember the name to look it up for the longest time, but lucky you...I found it. This is serious dance music, so crank it up and make fools of yourselves.

Thanks, Sharie. We're flattered to have been mentioned. Here's the link: Cleveland's Most Interesting Couple.

Steve: Awesome vids!

Well, I finally did it. I'm on facebook. Jeff, that's where everybody is. I have to say it could become addicting. I was up half the night figuring it out and answering messages. So...now you have to make the move. You too Steve (Salow). However, I won't let this site die. Can't do a cool profile on Facebook like here. I don't think it's as nice anyway.

Paul - Great article on you and Renee!  You have become quite the celebrity of the Cleveland Area!

Sharie - Glad you made the effort to get onto FB.  I'm still struggling with it and it's all Jerri's fault (LOL)!!!  But I still come onto this website every couple of days to see if anyone has updated their profile or has left any "messages" on the forum.  We cannot let this one die!  Too much hard work and effort (thanks, Paul) to let it just whither away.  I think that once another reunion gets started, more will return.  Like you, it would be nice for some other "individuals" (not naming anyone in particular, Steve and Jeff's) to join the FB family.  But even with that being said, I still like the closeness and family-feel of this site!  It is truly a unique one - our great Class of 1979 - and knowing that only our class can view the messages!  We do share a rare form of humor - not to be shared with "outsiders"!  LOL

Michelle, I can't keep up with facebook either. It's become a second job, but I can't tell you how fun it is. I've found so many people that I never thought I'd ever see again, much less talk to. I thought I was satisfied with all the classmates we found but then I started finding people I knew in the early 80's in Houston and at various jobs, I've found far flung family...blah blah blah. I've been pulled in hook, line and sinker.

I love that we can update our Classmate Profile to indicate that we are on FB or Twitter.  Is there any way that an icon can show up next to our name so we can tell immediately who has a FB/Twitter account w/o reading their whole profile?  Thanks!

Jeffrey Hart

I had to delete my facebook account as well. I was getting hoards of messages from people I didn't even know (and their siblings). I may be out of the loop but I feel much better now.

Sharie Peters (Parker)

Okay Jeff, I won't nag you, but on facebook, the tons of conversations going on don't have to be jumped into.

Hansen...where are you ? Surface dude.

03/30/11 01:35 PM #1010

Sharie Peters (Parker)

No wonder you've been so quiet. Thankfully it was contained and it's over now. Thanks for the update.  I've been wondering where you had gone and truthfully, I was beginning to worry. Now that that is all behind us...get your now good-as-new-rear on facebook. Hugz to you Jeff.

Another update. Paul Deluca's father is very ill (as we speak) Things are not looking too good for him. The family is at his side.

Oh, and Jeff Hansen... Starting this weekend, Shiner Bock will be distributed in New Jersey. It's getting closer to you! Cheers!

Jeffrey Hansen

Local bar already has it on tap and the local beer distributor carries it.  I have been enjoying Shiner Bock here in Central PA since last summer.

Now I need to get Fat Tire (Ft Collins CO) available locally and I will be all set.

Well then you're ahead of Joysey then. I didn't think you could get it there yet.

Please keep Carl Luke and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His younger brother Adrian passed away. He was only 48 I believe.
