I remember great times in Chorus, School Talent Show where me and my friends dressed as Boy George and I was dressed in a fat suit with my hair all punked out, I remember teachers who really changed my life and I remember my lunch buddies and my french teacher Ms. Dwayne who was my teacher for all four years and my homeroom teacher. I was kinda truant in high school because of family problems which I regret now.
Went to and graduated from Asbury College, met my hubby, Gene, had Kayla our one baby girl in 1992, moved to Northern KY. Got involved in foster care, adopted 3 children through the program over 12 years (We fostered 28). Husband became a minister in a small church,(www.cchog.org) sing regularly (EVERY SUNDAY) on the praise team, became a contract trainer for the state of kY teaching Foster Parent and Adoptive Parent Classes, act and sing in dramatic presentations with my friend Dave Neal (www.nealproductions.org) Enjoy crafting, doing things with the kids, singing and drama. Am interested in special education and work hard with our adopted son who has special needs.
I wanted to get far away from my crazy family, the trailer park that I lived in and get a life. I think I did that! My regret though is not keeping up with people from high school. Watching my high school daughters now, I see how precious those years are. There is more life to come though!
Occasionally, I talk to Robin Henderson Kane through facebook. We went to college together. Mindy Austin was in my wedding but I have not talked to her since. I guess she is one of the missing classmates according to the list.
I have always wanted to sing on a big stage maybe in an arena.... yeah so, I do not see that happening. Maybe my daughter will though. LOL
I served the state of Kentucky for twelve years as a foster and adoptive parent. When we adopted our fourth child we retired from foster parenting and began training others. I now work as a case manager in foster care for a private agency in my town in Kentucky.
