Connie Springate Chapman, 66, wife of Darrell Chapman, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born November 8, 1946 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Con and Mildred Loraine Black Springate. She was retired from Kroger and a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lexington.

Survivors besides her husband include one daughter Melissa Peach (Keith) Robinson of Lexington, one sister Dianne Springate Peavler of Harrodsburg, one grandson Colton Robinson of Lexington, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Colton Robinson, Dave Reister, Brett Cheek, Todd Ransdell, Calvin Powell, and David Jones serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John McDowell and Leonard Sutherland.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
