Marilyn Graham Gray

May 7, 1946 - February 24, 2018

Marilyn Graham Gray, 71, widow of Tony Gray, died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Place in Danville.  Born May 7, 1946 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Nelson and Margie Thelma Colvin Graham.  She was a retired nurse having worked for Dr. Bacon Moore.  She was a member of the St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed genealogy, pleasure horseback riding and working at her church.

Survivors include her son, Shawn Patrick Gray of Lexington and his fiancé, Arlette Soros; her sister, Dianne (Ken) Thomas of Summerville, South Carolina; her sister-in-law, Virginia Biles of Danville; her niece, Virginia G. O’Donnell of Chicago, Illinois and her two nephews:  Buck Graham of Danville and Monty Graham of Gulf Port, Mississippi.   She was preceded in death by her brother Bruce Graham.

Memorial services were held Saturday, March 3 at the St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church with Fr. Peter Doddema officiating.  Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers were Larry and Peggy Short, Jimmy and June Steele, Leland Graham, Kenneth Colvin, Dudley Colvin, Joseph Colvin, Buck Graham and Monty Graham.

Visitation was Friday, March 2, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and Saturday at the church.
