My 3years at South were very happy ones. Since leaving in 1966, I have taught at St. Paul (Bristol) (7 years)and at St. Joseph College (3 years).

My diversified career also included working in professional accounting (9 years), serving in the missions (13 years), ministering at a spiritual life center (3 years) and many years of community service.

The time ( before a football game with East Catholic) that we arrived at school one morning to find a coffin over the door of the entrance to the auditorium. Everyone was up in arms and wanted to retaliate!!

Father Shugrue's response: "They can come here at any time and will be bettering themselves, but we won't go there.

No retaliation took place.
