It's still 1983 right?

Hi Kim and company,
thank you for all your hard work on planning this 25th anniversary event. I have sadly not attended a reunion since 1993. Something about getting older and needing to remember the good times has motivated me to get involved this time. The loss of Carolyn and John was a real wake up call for me. Let's get together, celebrate life and remember the great times we had with each other! In response to Karen's statement on the forum, as much as I look forward to seeing people in November, thank God it is still not 1983!

Hi everyone,

Kim, thanks for doing a great job organizing the 25th reunion. I am planning to attend. I hope we get a great turnout. It will be nice to share old memories as well as "catch up" on our lives now.

Hope to see ya there and "Celebrate"

I had been planning to attend our 20th year reunion when life happened and I had to cancel my plans. Today, I received my invitation to our 25th year reunion and I was floored. It does not seem possible that we have been out of school for 25 years! I will try hard to be there, it is in my plans (even if it is not in my budget). Any of you who are having trouble rememebering my face-no worries! I was the one with the very long hair! Bet you remember me now! See you guys, God willing, in November. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

Are you ready for this - my son goes to Northwest Catholic and the teachers there include Mr. Shugrue, Mr. Tressler and Mr. Laffin. In fact Fran Laffin's son is one of my son's best friends - how do you call the guy Fran after all those years of Mr. Laffin?

Unbelievable! I am currently teaching inside the South Catholic High School building! This is my first year at this location (now one of the Hartford Public Schools called Bellizzi Middle School)and I actually got LOST yesterday, ending up downstairs in the cafeteria. It must really be 25 years if I cannot even find my way around the building :(
Oh and the Chapel is now a computer lab which is named........you guessed it, the Chapel Lab!
LOL

Hey Karen,
If I remember correctly Mr. Laffin had a very unique nickname!!! Anyone else remember that!!! Pretty funny. Oh, and by the way, Martha how could we forget that beautiful long hair!

Thanks Darlene, thank you for your nice comment. I really liked the picture of you and your family. Congrats!
About the instructors, does anybody know if any have been invited to the reunion (do instructors get invited)?
Gianel, that was too funny, you getting lost at South. Did it bring back 1st day of school, freshman year, butterflies-in-the-stomach memories?

Hey Everyone!

I'm so stupid....I love checking this site to see what's up with all the old classmates, and for some reason I never clicked on "message forum"!
Kim, thanks for setting things up. The more I read and remember, the more excited I am to attend the reunion. I only attended the 5th so it will be great to see so many former classmates.
If any of you are inclined to send me a message, I'd love to hear from you and catch up!

All my best,
Amy Carroll (Blackwell)

Hi Susan and all,

How can we forget Sr. Patricia's math class, we loved being the Algebra IA for us 'special' math learners. I remember losing my temper with her one day for ridiculing Sandy M in class and I told her off. She took me into the hall but never called my parents, she knew she was off base! I think I had Darlene, Sandy and Susan in all my math classes. I don't think I got past Algebra I. My daughter had Mrs. Dembeck (former Ms.Toffoli)for Italian at Weth high last year. She looks the same! We alway knew they had something going on! Good for her. I can't believe so many of the teachers are still teaching. God, I hope I can retire in 15 years!!LOL

Patrick
