Marilyn T. Strong - 1929 - 2014

Marilyn T. Strong, 84 of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Edward M. Strong, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Kimberly Hall in Windsor. She was born in Hartford on September 10, 1929, daughter of the late George and Odessa (Stewart) Terry, and grew up in East Hartford. After graduation from East Hartford High School, Marilyn received her bachelor's and master's degrees from UConn and worked as a physical education teacher at Weaver High School for 39 years. Her presence in the Hartford community enabled her to impact the lives of generations of youth and forge eternal friendships within many civic and fraternal organizations. Throughout her life, Marilyn was generous yet always humble and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. In honoring Marilyn's wishes, there will be no public calling hours and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family.
