HARDY, Stanley A. Stanley A. Hardy, 60, of East Hartford, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, (October 8, 2013) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford on February 3, 1953, he was a son of the late Homer and Maude (Brown) Hardy. Stan graduated from Weaver High School Class of 1971 and worked as a machine operator with MDC in Hartford for many years before he suffered a disabling stroke in 2008. He was an avid traveler who enjoyed adventures on land and sea! Stan and Alicia enjoyed the ocean and shared many special cruises together. He was an avid reader who enjoyed a good book. Stan was a kind and sensitive man who cherished his family, friends, and animals, especially his beloved pets Hershey and Simba. His outgoing personality afforded him many close friends as well as acquaintances. His memory is forever cherished by his step children, Kedar Fluker, Julio Jimenez and Tatita Roman; his longtime loving companion, Alicia Roman of East Hartford. He leaves behind a son, Ross Anthony Hardy of Windsor; two brothers, Earl Hardy of Hartford and Thomas Hardy of Farmington; two sisters and a brother in-law, Marva Rothschild of Windsor; Ruth Littman and Carl N. Littman, Sr. (predeceased) of Hartford; a special niece, Crystal Harris of South Windsor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and extensions of the Roman family. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor with calling hours from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
