School Story:
I went through the Farmington School System (1984-1992).... remember when.....
-We had to take the E bus to Farmington HS because we didn't have a designated school bus? Wooooo. Can't say we weren't dedicated.
- The short bus? lol
- Mr. Myles the bus driver?? (HEAD!!)
- Mrs. Ward, the mother on the bus
- Missing the after school bus, when we had one. "Ma? Um, can u come get me?".
- The Exchange?
- Jokes on each other (these kids don't know what a diss is now)
- PC meetings at school on how not to be ghetto?? LOL
* Teenage pregnancy, not very funny, but when I look back, it seemed so mundane to us PC Students, but the students that lived in Farmington thought this were the end of the world.
* All attempts at trying to explain to the kids in Farmington that Hartford really wasn't a bad place minus the drive by shootings, exploding cars, chain & sneaker snatchings, etc. It really wasn't so bad. lol.
- Explaining to the kids in Farmington why your hair was down your back two days ago, short tomorrow and will be long again, and MAYBE a different color by Friday.
-Lotion?
- Ever hoped the nurse was correct in saying that lice couldnt survive in your hair?
- Feeling like the UN representative for Hip Hop Music and all things Black/Latino?
