Johnny was one of the kindest & gentle people I knew growing up in Hastings. I still remember Miss Travis 6th grade class which was on the Farragut Ave side of the school & Johnny counting the different cars that passed by. He kept a journal of this & we helped him with the count. Johnny also collected copper wire & sold it to the junkman when we were kids.
