Our 50th Reunion!

DETAILS

The reunion was a great success. It was wonderful to see so many of you, and to share stories and memories. We had perfect weather all weekend.

Thursday night about 15 of us met in the bar at the Marriott, and then most went to dinner at the Half Moon in Dobbs Ferry.

Friday night many went to the community center for the all alumni gathering, and then headed to Gaynes'. It was a late night there, but we rallied again on Saturday morning for the tour of the high school. All agreed it is remarkably unchanged....still the original floors, walls, and classrooms. The wooden seats in the auditorium balcony are still the same.

We had 22 for lunch at Maud's Tavern, and then some folks went to the game, some to the historical society and some to take naps. Peter Muriak had a plaque made to honor Coach Dick Bub, which was presented to Bub at half time. It was from the class of 1964 in appreciation for his 50 years of coaching/support to members of our class. Coach was very surprised, and all the guys who he had coached joined him on the field.  The only negative of the day was that Briarcliff beat Hastings 34-0. There was chat on the sidelines that Coach Bub should send in Zabaronick, Hritz, Muriak, Lillard, Schall, Russell who were all there watching the game.

Our dinner at the Marriott was good, the DJ was great, and lots of people were on the dance floor. After the Marriott closed us up at 10:30, the party moved to the bar.
