Jimmy Rainwater was actually in the class of 1963 & memories on Jimmy were mainly in the classroom. A nice kid who was no doubt the smartest in class, especially math. When we took algebra from Miss Barton, Jimmy sat in the back of the room at a large table by himself & was probably figuring out how to get to the moon. Rest in Peace Jimmy,
Jimmy started out in our grade. He was in my first grade classroom with Mrs. Wilkinson ( I seem to remember too much about each early grade.) He was in my reading group. He was so smart that I guess he skipped a grade.. I believe he got a 1600 on the SATs or whatever the hightest grade was then.
