Jane E. Saienni, age 62 of West Grove, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Phillip H. Saienni, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Estelle Hillard Leaf.

Jane was a 1964 graduate of Haverford Twp. High School. Jane and her husband supported their family owned business, Earl's Sub Shop in Avondale for 26 years. She also worked in many capacities for Happy Harry?s Drug Store, American Greetings Card Corp. and most recently Lowe?s in Avondale, PA.

She was a member of the Chatham United Methodist Church for more then 30 years, and served as treasurer for 8 years. Through her children's school years she supported them as a member of the Avon Grove Band Boosters, a Girl Scout Cookie Chairwoman, and Cub Scout Den Mother.

She also enjoyed gardening, bird watching, knitting and crocheting. Through the years, many friends and family have received handmade items as a result of Jane's thoughtfulness and handiwork. Jane also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially at local amusement parks.

Survivors include in addition to her husband; one sister Nancy A. Leaf of West Chester; one son, George P. Saienni and his wife Margaret of West Grove, two daughters Mary E. Drayer and her husband Jason of Hanover, PA and Ann M Caruso and her husband Anthony of West Grove, 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Domnick, Andrew and Abigail.
