Joan graduated from Haverford High School in 1964.

Since 1997, Joan was employed as a receptionist for Brandywine Senior Care and recently, as a concierge for Brandywine Assisted Living at Longwood.

She was a long time member at First Presbyterian Church in West Chester and a former member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian.

Joan enjoyed the beach, pool, and shopping with her daughter. She loved her family and could always be seen on the sidelines supporting her children’s athletic endeavors and activities.

A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Joan is survived by her children, Bruce and his wife, Jill, of Elkton, MD, John, Rick and Christine of West Chester, PA; sister, Anne Powell and her husband, Hal, of King of Prussia, PA; and grandchildren, Jackson and Raleigh.
