Linda Mary Bernadette DeVirgilis Ferroni
November 13, 1948 - March 12, 2026

Linda Ferroni, a beacon of love and warmth, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family at the Fieldstone Memory Care facility in Chester Springs, PA, after a courageous journey through Alzheimer's disease. She was 77 years old.

Born Linda DeVirgilis on November 13, 1948, in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Anthony and Rose DeVirgilis, who predeceased her.

In the summer of 1973, Linda married the love of her life, Joseph Ferroni Sr., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Havertown, PA. Together, they shared nearly 53 wonderful years of marriage, nurturing a family and building a home filled with laughter and love. Linda and Joe's partnership was a testament to their unwavering commitment and affection for one another.

Linda earned a bachelor's degree from West Chester University in 1970 and a master's degree in education from Temple University in 1972. She dedicated over 20 years of her life to teaching in the Philadelphia School System, while raising her own beautiful family. Her students and colleagues remember her as a compassionate, inspiring educator who left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

An avid singer, Linda found joy and camaraderie in music. She was a proud member of the Sweet Adelines singing group and participated in numerous other singing organizations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Arizona. Her voice brought joy to all who heard it, and her love for music was contagious, creating bonds and forging friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Linda's adventurous spirit and love for her family led her to travel extensively and enjoy many cherished moments at her beach houses, where she welcomed family and friends with open arms and a heart full of hospitality. Linda was well known for her incredible Italian cuisine. Her children never missed a wonderful Italian Sunday dinner with family.  She was known for her gentle humor, often being lovingly teased that everyone adored Linda and simply tolerated her husband, Joe.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Ferroni Sr.; her daughter Lisa Watt (Shy); her son Joseph Ferroni Jr. (Adrienne); her adored grandchildren, Sebastian and Sullivan Watt, and Ava and Arianna Ferroni; her loving sisters, Maryann Seesholtz (John), and Dianne Ermilio (Mike); and a host of cherished nieces, nephews and many in-laws.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fieldstone Memory Care and AseraCare Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they provided Linda during her final years.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://donorservices.alz.org)  to honor Linda's memory and to support the relentless pursuit of a cure.

Linda's life was a melody of love, laughter, and joy—a song that will continue to resonate in
