Note from Kathy McClane Bitterman re: photo below:  Mr.Massiello's 7th grade. This was Mr.Massiello's 1st year of teaching...after this class it's amazing that he didn't leave teaching & find another career! However ,the girls in the class did convince him to him to ask Miss Catafamo (home ec.teacher)for a date! They eventually married & from what I've heard still are! I did my student teaching at Franklin School when he was principal there...he said he will never forget his first year at Roosevelt!! Does anyone remember when he kicked the trash basket from the front of the room to the back...after we wouldn't stop talking during a fire drill
