Kathleen Dawn Woods Henderson

I have 3 beautiful granddaughters, Bryar Rose age 11, Morganna Ray age 11 & Cearra Rune age 8 months. I married Al Olson a year out of school, we were married for almost 20 years. I met Steve at a karaoke show the very first time I sang by myself in front of anyone, we were married 2 months later & have been married for 17 years. A year after we were married we started Havin' A Blast! Karaoke Company & it became one of the largest karaoke companies in Contra Costa County. After my mom & brother, David died within 9 months of each other, we moved to Angels Camp in 2001 to open a restaurant, The Gold Frog. Unfortunately it was 2 months before 9-11 and business was affected tremendously by that tragedy. We had to sell after losing most everything, but now I work for O.A.R.S. (the rafting company) as a bookkeeper & we still run karaoke shows up here in the Mother Lode.

I stuck to math & science through high school, & didn't get to any of the "fun" classes until senior year, when I finally got to take drama & choir. I was usually in the summer drama productions, "Where's Charlie," "The Pajama Game," & "Spoon River Anthology" are the ones I remember, where I mainly helped with sets, costuming & sometimes sang in the choir. I always envied those who could sing solos in the productions, I could never dream of singing by myself in front of anyone. Now I have a karaoke company, who could have imagined?
