Went to college at Rice in Texas where I met Jonathan on the 2nd day of Freshman orientation. Got married in 1994, then moved to Seattle for medical school, residency, fellowship, and a couple of years on faculty.
We always knew we wanted to raise our family in a small community, and after the kids were born, the city really started to wear us out. We searched for a town with the right combination of lifestyle and job prospects, hit the jackpot with Vermont, and moved here in 2007. We are a busy happy family with 2 energetic kids, 2 aging dogs, and 1 very needy cat. After feet and feet of snow during the winter, spring and summer in Vermont are glorious. The garden is planted, the peonies are blooming, and the kids are spending their days catching toads and their nights catching fireflies. Life is good...we are lucky.
