I was very saddend to hear of Tom's passing. If I was anywhere near Helena I would attend his memorial service. Even though I have only seen Tom twice in the last 50 years, both at the 40th and 50th reunion, it was very meaningful. He was the first childhood friend that I can remember. We were both about 3 or 4 and lived one house away from each other on Broadway St. We were seperated for a short period of time when my parents moved to WSS.When we returned Tom and I went all the way through school together.

I was quite nervous attending the 40th reunion and mentioned several times to my wife "I wonder if I'll see Tommy?" As fate would have it, we were checking in and he was the first person I saw. He exclaimed with a hearty handshake "Bill, where the hell have you been all these years, I have looked for you at every reunion!" Then, turning to my wife, JoAnn, said "What ever he's told you about me...I didn't do it!"

I am so very thankful I attended that reunion and I thank every one for all the hard work you did. It was a true blessing to reconnect with my friend.

Hi Bill,

I went to Tommy Ramburg's memorial service today and I must tell you it was exactly the type of service you would expect from him and his family.  There was a lot of laughter over some of Tommy's antics, his life style, his friends and friendships.  He lived life the way he saw fit and loved those around him with all he had.  It was a very nice service and I enjoyed seeing some of our classmates who attended.  I really enjoyed meeting Tommy's wife Nancy for the first time.  She is a very brave and sweet lady with many troubles of her own to deal with, along with the loss of her partner.  I wish her well in her endeavors.  Sorry you were unable to attend but I'm sure Tommy knew you were thinking about him.  He was a trooper to the end and did life his way!  He will be missed.

I attended the memorial service for Tom Ramberg today.  It was a very nice service, standing room only---pretty upbeat and just like Tom would have liked, I'm sure!  It was great to see some of our class in attendance.  Watching the video, it was like watching someone grow up, from toddler Tom to teenager to adult.  He was a character in high school and apparently stayed that way his whole life!  Good thoughts and prayers go to Nancy and her family.
