In Memory

Dave McMorran

Dave McMorran

Dave McMorran passed away on May 24,2018. Dave was a great guy with an active mind and artistic talents. He was a builder of homes, an honored teacher, a soldier, a biker, a pilot and a cowboy as well as a musician and artist. He was creative and compassionate. He and Loia hosted a great Class of 1965 party at their home in Homeland about 10 years ago. He had built an entire cowboy town on his property and it was fun to walk through all of the areas.

He is survived by his love Loia, and his 2 brothers George and Lynn, and extended family. He will be missed by all of those who knew him. Graveside Military services were held at the Eagle Point National Cemetary in Oregon on June 4, 2018.

Rest in Peace Dave...you are remembered.

Not only will you always be remembered, you will also be deeply loved by those who knew & admired you. You were truly an amazing person who always gave so much & never expected anything in return. I remember so many great times together, along with your parents who were such an inspiration to anyone who knew them. You will never be forgotten for the kindness & love you shared with the lives you touched. I pray that you are now at peace and watching over all of us. May you rest in peace knowing you made a positive influence! God bless you & your family & thank you for a job well done! Sending my deepest sympathy to your family & friends. Time will heal the hurts you now have, but the beauty you've known will forever last.

David and his family were great friends and I’ve always made a point to reach out to him at reunions. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. This was a difficult friend for me to lose. Jean

Although we weren't close friends, I remember Dave as a very nice guy, and quick with a smile and a joke.  My sincere condolences to his family. I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

Dave was a genuinely nice guy who possessed outlandishly superior aesthetic skills.  This might sound a little weird, but in 5th or 6th grade at Little Lake Elementary School, based on Dave's talents & personality I told myself that if I ever had a son, I would name him David.  And so I did:  Joseph David Safford (and his son is Benjamin David Safford).  Enough said.

I will always remember him, we were in Mr. Nicolet‘s English class in our Senior year. We laughed a lot and he was joking all the time. My deepest sympathy  to his entire family. Rest in Peace, Dave! Herzliches Beileid , Ilona  🇩🇪<>>
