After highschool I moved to Santa Maria CA, and attended Allan Hancock College but returned to Las Vegas and completed my bachelors at UNLV. I always thought that i would become a teacher, but once i started taking ecology courses in school, i was hooked and began my field biologist career while still in school. I have walked miles of Desert Tortoise fencing along all the major highways in Southern Nevada and tracked burrowing owls in the dark across the desert. I am now working at Nellis Air Force Base in the Natural Resources Program and am loving it! It is a great job where i get to conserve 3 million acres of wildlands and support our military.
