I have been up to a lot! Moved to Los Angeles for 1 year in 2000. After a crazy (good and bad) year I moved back to LV to go back to college. After another year of living in LV I decided that I wanted to live in San Diego! I finished my Behavioral Science degree in 2006 (10 year plan!). I worked full time all through college, but I finally got there. I got a job working in Document Control at a company called General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. They manufacture unmanned aircraft for the military and government use. I know, it has nothing to do with my degree, but I really love it. I just got married in September to a wonderful man and I am very happy. Dan was in the Navy and stationed in San Diego and now he is an aviation electrician at Camp Pendleton. When we met it was as if I had known him forever. We have found an amazing church and became a christian. San Diego is wonderful. At first, it was not quite what I expected, but it grew on me and I consider it my home. I love the fact that you can go to the beach, go hiking in the mountains, or go snow skiing all within an hour. We love to go camping, go to the beach, and have game night with our friends. I know, we are dorks. I love going to wineries in Temecula every once in a while. I think I like the simpler more easy going part of San Diego.
We had a scare this past October during the San Diego fires. We were evacuated early in the morning and our town got the worst of the fires. After 3 days of wondering if we still had a home to go back to, we finally went home. Our condos were okay, but the fire had come into our complex and burned homes right across from us. It was quite an experience, and it makes you realize what you REALLY need. When we were evacuated and had 10 minutes to get out, the only thing I grabbed was my husband, cat, and pictures.
Last year I began making custom jewelry and fell in love with it. I really would love to eventually do that full time, especially when we have children so I can be home with them. I am just starting my own business. I think I have rambled on for long enough!
