I am sure if we are free, we could come...don't expect me to wear a costume, though! :)

C'mon on Perry - you could be a basketball player and Kristi could be a cheerleader!! Oh the possibilities!!! LOL!

Amy Bagshaw (Russ)

Amy - OMG I love Halloween and especially Halloween parties. Hmmmm, let me check my busy social calendar. Yep, I'm available whenever you have the party, ha.

Perry, don't be a nerd. Of course you have to dress in costume at a Halloween party. That's what makes it fun, especially if you do that b-ball player/cheerleader thing Amy mentioned. It could get interesting!

I don't know if I'd be able to make it. Halloween is my time to revenge myself upon my kids. But if my wife and I can make, I'll need a male classmate to help me recreate Buddy and Tim's bathtub scene. Are you up for that Perry?

I can't believe over a week has passed since the reunion! I also had a great time. I wish we had a little more of a turnout, but it was great seeing everyone who was able to make it. I only took two pics that night but if they're good ones I'll post them when I get a chance. Guess it was too hard to walk, talk, eat, drink beer and take pictures at the same time, ha!

For those of you who were nice enough to flip through Colby's scrapbook and listen to me talk on and on and on about my kid, I appreciate it. But I knew we wouldn't be at the picnic on Sunday so I had to show off my boy when I could, right?

Leah, this website is great. Thanks so much for getting it together. I've really enjoyed seeing what everyone's been up to since graduation. And honestly, folks, I helped very little to plan the reunion. I went to one meeting. The others did all the work and I pretty much said yeah, yeah, do it, that sounds great.

Let's get together again soon everybody, even if it's just to meet at a local restaurant for something very casual. Take care.

Amy, if you decide to have a halloween party, I will definately be able to make that one as long as it is on a saturday. I don't know about dressing up though. I guess I could always come as a powerline construction crew foreman, or I could dress up as the infamous Jim Martin.

Amy Wernert (Anderson)

Jim - The Infamous Jim Martin would be a perfect costume!! It will definitely be on a Saturday - probably the weekend prior to Halloween. I think it'll be a blast - got lots of ideas for fun!

Amy- would love to come to a Halloween party. Maybe we could even get Matt to come dressed as Michael Meyers.

Tracy - Matt would scare the pants off people in my neighborhood!!! LOL!

Hey Everyone,
I've been out and about for a while. I'm glad to be back at my camp. I was just able to post up some pictures from the trip and one's my wife has recently sent.

Halloween party sounds great... I'll still be over here though. The fall and Halloween is my favorite time of the year. If anyone is up for a pre or post holiday season party, I know I'll be home by then. Just keep me in the loop.

Darrell, my subscription to the "agricultural enquirer" just ran out. You'll have to pass on any good info about Todd to me. I also need to glean some of your daughter raising knowledge. It sounds like you're the pro. Besides the dog, I'm severly outnumbered at my house. When she gets old enough to date, there is an open invitation to you, Todd, Jim, and anyone else to come over and clean firearms as we drink beer.

Take care,
Chris

I've got 2 daughters of my own to deal with also. Man they get big fast. They are 13 and 10, and know everything.

It makes me feel very satisfied that all the jokers (Tim, Darrell, Jim and others) have girls!!! God is smiling! LOL!

Had a great time at the reunion. Glad to get to meet and see how everyone is doing. Everyone seems to doing really well. Would gladly go to the holloween party if we are free that weekend. Hope to see as many come to the Holloween party as they did at this reunion and hopefully more come. Wish we could have made it to the picnic at the foestry hopefully we can have another get together like that in the future.

Dear Amy,
How do you tell when god is smiling? I pray alot and I always hear laughter.

Jim,
I'll pass on to you what a good friend with all daughters passed on to me. Ask god for mercy several times a day. I do it ten times....several times A DAY.

Chris,
I'll do what I can with Todd info. It's kinda hard because he doesn't like paparrazi (did I spell that right). As far you and the dog, I have one male dog and two female dogs. If your dog has had his manhood removed; as mine has, please refer to my advice to Jim.

God Bless Ya'll

We had a great time at the reunion and at the forestry. It was great to see everyone. I would love to get together again. A Halloween party sounds great and we will be there if we are not camping. I know we have a trip planned to Lake Rudolph on fall break. I have enjoyed this website so much. Thank you so much Leah for being so "techie" and getting it set up. It has been great to read everyone's messages.

Another school year has started at HHS and it got off without much of a hitch.

The seniors that graduated last year...some of them have come back because they miss us (I thought they wanted to get out of there sooooo bad :), and the seniors this year realize this is it and will start hitting senioritis in about a week or so.

I have most, if not all, of the juniors in US History and they seem attentive right now...that should change any day now.

If you listen close enough, in about two weeks, you will be able to hear idealism die as the new teachers realize all that garbage they ram down your throat in college...well, much of it isn't true. All kids can't learn, in fact, some of them refuse to even try.

But hey...hopefully we reach a couple of them and they become like many of us and many of those I have taught...they come back in about 5 years and apologize/realize we were right.

Perry,
Good luck this upcoming basketball season. I'll be rootin for ya.

Perry,
It's hard to believe that another school year has started. Good luck with B-Ball season this year. I was hoping to make it home by Thanksgiving, but I may miss the mark. I'll at least be home for Christmas.

Iraq changed this past week. The wind shifted direction and it rained two days in a row. The temps have dropped about 10 degrees on average with the nights being cool and the days being tolerable.

Today is 9/11. Hard to believe that it has been 7 years. September is the holy month of Ramadan here, so the action has picked up somewhat. We're all still doing pretty well, just ready to come home.

Chris - It is hard to believe it's been 7 years. I talked about it today with my 1st grade class who were only a year old when the event occurred, but are seeing it replayed on the news.

Perry - Another school year - dude, it's been busy!!! I bet I've got more interesting stories to tell....First graders in downtown Louisville will tell you anything and everything going on in their world. I've already been involved with CPS twice and it's only September. Hope things are well for you and your family. Good luck on the basketball season - I'll come and see you coach one night. Noah loves basketball!

Mary - The pictures of your baby are beautiful!

Take care

Chris: If you come in, stop by a game...best place to find me.

To all: What is absolutely amazing is that all this 9/11 conspiracy garbage is starting to be believed. I had a total of 18 out of 95 juniors who said that they absolutely believed that our government was behind it, and I had another 20 who said it was conceivable, but believed it wasn't us.

And of course, in todays' society, you aren't allowed to tell them they are wrong because they believe that just because they have an opinion, then it is valid...no..some opinions are wrong, and I let them know that.

It took all I had to not lose it on these kids...they can't help it, the propaganda they get exposed to is relentless.

Luckily, the History Channel has a rebuttal of these myths...pretty good...so...we will be watching it in class.

On another note...we have been out of school for a week. Chris, you wouldn't believe it, but we had category 1 type hurricane winds come through about a 75 mile stretch from Columbus to Bullitt Co. Kentucky.

Trees down everywhere and people without electricity for a week...like I said, we have been off school all week because of it.

Few were injured, there was little rain with it, and the temperatures afterwards have been very nice, so it could have been much worse.

Sometimes, He has to remind us how small we are.

Yes, the wind storm from Hurricane Ike was a real sonofabitch, that's for sure. How is everyone getting by (the ones who live locally?) Colby and I have been out of power for a week. Thank goodness my mom and stepdad had a generator, plus they were out of power only for about 12 hours. We have been staying with them for the past week. My mom is such a crack up, waiting on Colby and me hand and foot. I'm keeping my fingers crossed to be home soon. Hope everyone is getting back on track. Anyone have any major damage? Any pics? Gotta run. Take care, AMY

For all of you guys away from here, I posted a few pictures from Hurricane Ike's visit. Was pretty bad, but could have been much worse.

Very little if any rain during and after, and much cooler days for the week most people didn't have electricity.

It is amazing that no matter how big we get, He can remind us quickly that we are not in control.

We were out without power until last night (Saturday). Amazing how truly unprepared we are for a natural disaster. It made us truly feel for the Hurricane Katrina victims. I can't image category 4 hurricane winds and I don't believe I want to experience those anytime soon! Our neighbors screened in porch was on top of their house and the fence around their pool was in the street. Not too much damage on our side - just a lot of debris and leaves to clean up. My older kids actually did some work and hung out together because they didn't have anything else to do!!LOL!

Amy Russ - I was worried about you and Colby and I sent you lots of prayers. Tried to call you once, but our cell service has been bad this week. I knew you were probably in good hands, but still thought of you. Any birthday plans?

Hi everyone, glad to here everyone is ok after the windstorm. I didn't get much damage on my place just alot of tree limbs. But my neighbor lost his shed and my other neighbor had a tree fall onto both his cars a '92 'stang and a cadillac. was out of power on my street for about 12 hours or so.
