Nancy Paula Franks McCue

Began journalism carrer then switched to law enforcement. Served the City of North Miami as the first female officer, first female sergeant, first female lieutenant, and retired as the first female Commander in 2000. Extremely involved in community and served on Miami Dade County zoning boards, committees, etc. Led the incorporation of the town of Cutler Bay. Also led a statewide grassroots effort the change state legislation relating to windstorm insurance rates.

Raised my four successful children and enjoy my eight grandchildren.

I loved my days as a T-bred. They have more meaning now with my grandchildren in high school. Oh! What they are missing. I really loved sock hops in the gym, especially after football - basketball games; Milander Auditorium, senior skip days; Honoria; working for the Record and the yearbook. Trying not to notice the journalism advisor nipping from her flask.
