After screwing around surfing instead of studying I got my draft notice in Jan 68. Learned my lesson especially after a year in Viet Nam. When I got out I put extra effort to my studies and eventually graduated with 2 degrees. One in Political Science and the other in History. Didn't do too much with those degrees except I have a slight advantage over my wife when we watch Jeopardy :-) Worked for the Dade County Tax Collectors office from 72-2001. From 94 until retirement I was the appointed Tax Collector there. I love retirement. Everybody should experience it.

Thanks Ed for posting Memorial to HHS grads.  It brings back many painful memories.  John was always in a good mood when I was in classes with him.  When I heard he was joining the Marines I was surprised he wouldn't take a chance with going to Miami-Dade CC.  I was in a class at MDCC when someone told me John had been killed.  I was stunned and hoped the information the person was giving me was incorrect. Damn! John deserved better.  RIP
