U.S. Army 6/1964-6/1966. Except for a couple of years in West Bend, lived in Oshkosh 1966-2012. Moved to Ripon, WI 6-01-2012.

Continuing member of the Oshkosh Philatelic Society since 1975, I mostly stopped collecting stamps and First Day Covers (FDC) when I switched to record collecting in 1991. October 2018: After 23 years of doing so, stopped maintaining my Folk Music web pages, and returned to FDC's to scan my entire collection before I sell it all so my family won't have to deal with it after I'm gone.

Attended intermittently 2.5 years at Carroll College, Waukesha, WI 1959-1963; Associate Degree in Computer Operations and Programming 1968: Operator 1968-1978 (West Bend Co., Rockwell Standard, UW Oshkosh), Programmer/Analyst 1978-2002 (UW Oshkosh). This is where I gained the skills to maintain a Folk Music and Wisconsin music Web site since 1995. Church Choir (1972-2020), attending concerts and music festivals, record and music reference book collecting, and documenting Wisconsin musicians and their recordings on my site keep me busy in retirement.

Four years of Choir are my fondest memories at HPHS, especially the Oklahoma, Showboat, and Down in the Valley Operettas. I have been in one choir or another ever since, including joining my present Church's Chancel Choir in Fall 1972. - http://www.folklib.net/fcc/fcc_choir.shtml -- However, I retired from the Chancel Choir when COVID hit, combined with the 80 miles a week to/from rehearsals from Ripon to Oshkosh which became too difficult to continue.
