Liz and I were in the same kindergarten class at Greenbay Road School and many other classes in the coming years. We went to the same church, our brothers were friends, our parents were friends and we were friends. We were partners for lighting the candles before church service. Still dressed in our choir robes we'd then take a seat in the pews at the back of the church and whisper and play silent games during the sermon. With those types of interactions you get to know a person and I knew Liz to be sweet, gentle and kind.
We grew apart as we grew older but I see from her obituary (link above) that she remained the same gentle soul throughout her life time. Rest In Peace, dear friend- gone too soon.
