I broke up with my high school sweetheart right before graduation. Then I met Jim a football player from Merrillville soon after. He graduated in 1987. We had fun dating and got married in Oct. 1992. Together we had my son Steven and my dtr. Jackie. We both were young when we got married and went through hardships. We divorced in 1998. Then, life went on and I started dating Quentin Overturf. Together we have a dtr. named Danielle Overturf. Quentin and I are very good friends. However, I still haven't found my lifelong companion! Still looking forward to the future!
I went to South Eastern Academy for travel and tourism in Kissimmee Florida right after high school. I worked as a travel agent for a while but desired to go into nursing. I went to Indiana University Northwest and took all prerequisits for Associate Nursing program except A&P. I stopped for a while, because I got pregnant with my son. I decided to go to Ivy Tech were they accepted all my credits. I went through the full-time LPN nursing program in Valpo Ivy Tech and graduated Dec. 1997. Right after that I took my state boards and transitioned into an LPN.
I had a blast my senior year hanging out with my friends at lunch everyday! We all laughed so much! I also enjoyed being co-captain of pom and flag corp and being in plays. Then I went to 3 amazing proms with my high school sweetheart Bob. Two proms my junior year and one my senior year. I was also very involved with the Methodist Church youth group with lots of activities!
I loved to watch Happy Days, Lovern and Shirley, American Bandstand, etc. Movies I loved; Breakfast Club, Beverly Hills Cop, Cant Buy Me Love, Rocky Movies, Pretty in Pink, Fast Times at Ridgemont High etc. I also loved dance music and going to Club Tropicana when it was open. I also had a lot of fun going to dances at the school!
