Kathi Hoffman Anderson

After leaving HAHS I attending PSU where I marched in the Blue Band for 4 years and received two education degrees. I met my husband, Scott, in the Blue Band and we were married in June 1983. Scott is an agriculture chemical sales representative and his job has taken us to Syracuse, NY and Greenville, NC. We have three yankee boys(22, 18 and 18) and two southern girls(13 and 10). We have homeschooled our children since moving to NC in 1992. Our oldest son, Brendon, has graduated from UNC Chapel HIll and the twins are finishing associates degrees locally and will transfer to NC State and UNC Wilmington in the fall of 2009. Our girls are dancers and we spend all our afterschool time transporting them to the dance academy. I am a costumer for the academy which occupies alot of my free time. I retired from teaching public school in 1990 when the twins were born and use my skills now to tutor from home and school my own children. Our family enjoys spending time at the beach since we live in eastern NC. We have been blessed to have a homeschool lifestyle which allows us to travel with my husband. We still enjoy Penn State football but get to very few games due to the 10 hour trip. We love living in the south where our winters are mild and we seldom see a snowflake. We spend our winters laughing at our families up north who have to shovel snow while we are sitting on our screen porch in short sleeves!

At the request of my children who just saw this profile, I am updating their information! Time surely flies in 3 years at our house! I did update pictures of Brendon's wedding in January of 2010. Brendon and Emily live in Charlotte, NC.
Patrick completed National Guard Reserve Basic training in February 2010 and completed his Associates Degree. He will be finishing his degree at East Carolina University.
Tyler spent a year at Word of Life Bible Institute in Hudson, Florida and graduated in 2010. He is currently working on his Biblical Studies/Psychology Degree at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He will graduate in May 2012. He is a member of King's Players Drama Team and travels several weekends a month sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Annagrace started concurrent enrollment this fall at two different community colleges. She currently has 12 credits completed. She is now 16, has her learners permit and continues to study dance and piano.
Margaret Katharine is completing 7th grade. She, like her sister, is studying dance and piano.
Scott is celebrating 26 years with Valent as a senior sales rep. I am still home with the girls, overseeing their home-education. We returned to Bermuda at the end of October to celebrate our 50th birthdays. Scott's is the 31st and mine on the 29th. A glorious island for a celebration and relaxation!
We are so blessed to be able to travel and enjoy our children as they grow into young adults.

I loved typing the basketball plays for practice each morning for Coach Thompson and cheering on our teams. We did play good basketball and football in those days.

I fondly remember all the free periods I spent at the bandroom sunning myself on the bench outside instead of practicing! It's a wonder I don't have skin cancer from all that spring sun on this fair skin.

I have two young girls who love Bonnie Bell lipsmackers and every time they wear the strawberry one it takes me back to my high school days.

Do you all remember the hair ribbons I worn on the back of my barrette? Well, trends come back and my girls now wear them, too!
