Arthur McDanel

I have been living in my home town of Houston, Texas since shortly after graduation. I went to trade school and studied Emergency Medicine (college was boring) and finished, but do not use it except to patch up my kids. I own a small manufacturing business that keeps me pretty busy, as do my kids. I was married in 2001 and just recently divorced. I am an active leader in the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts, but only one of my daughters is in it. I live and work in a great neighborhood, which is like a small town. All of the neighbors on my street know each other and we all get together often for street parties and such, and we watch out for each other's kids. My house is the bus stop and the playground for the kids after school, and my pool is the summer water hole. I love being surrounded by kids, it makes me feel younger on days when I feel really old.

I really enjoyed my time at McArthur but was glad to graduate. I had the most fun working at Phar-Mor and hanging out with all of you (you know who you are) that also worked (played) there. I recall the jelly bean wars, racing the carts around the store, even a certain someone who boosted beer from aisle 5. I fondly remember Craig putting on makeup and jumping up & down in front of the security cameras, and I recall sticking our heads in the water machine and dropping in a quarter to see how much of a gallon we could drink. Boy were we stupid. I have kept in touch with some you, I would liked to have kept in touch with more of you. I have moslty kept in touch with my best friend, Tami, who is my angel. She always knows when I need her and she has always been a great friend.
I have not had anyone tell me that they liked my shirt since high school. I guess I have been dressing down. Maybe it is because I never have gum anymore.
