I have live in Louisiana since the service. Married a local girl and learned to be a "coonass". Right now it is crawdad season and shrimp will be ready soon. Don't miss the cold weather I remember in Kansas, although I visit Michigan in late april and get into a snow storm. I may be able to make the 55 reunion but another Michigan trip is in the works. Hope to make at least one more reunion and come lie to ya'll. Added photo of Mom's 90th birthday with me and Jo Ann, 6/12/17

Thanks for the birthday wishes. FYI the last hurricane caused a lot of rain but not much damage last week. No power for a few hours. Got lucky again.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes. Last year was west Louisiana's turn for hurricanes. This year it's the east sides turn. We had a scary night of high winds and rain. Left us with out power for a week. Lost 5 trees but no other property damage. No power- no cable-no internet and gas lines for days. It was 1973 all over again. Just a little clean up left now so we came out ok. Thanks again for the concern but us coonasses will survive.

I would like to thank all for the birthday wishes.Jo Ann and I had a great day visiting the Miss. Gulf Coast and checking out the gaming establishments there. They, as were we, escaped the wrath of Sally. The first "track" put Sally going directly over us but as usual the experts were wrong. Just hope clean livin' will keep the rest of those hurricanes away. Only good Hurricanes are served at Pat O'Brian's in the French Quarter. May be up Kansas way next year and hope to look school buddies up. 60 year reunion coming soon too.

We lost Mom last month. She was 3 days shy of 93 so she had a long fruitful life. Going thru her things I found this photo. I believe it is 3rd grade Central. Can everyone id themselves?

Richard, glad to see your post. I lived in New Orleans the last 4 years of my Navy career. I love and miss the food. Their is nothing like sucking heads and eating tails. Look forward to seeing you at the reunion.
